Hey y'all! After taking an almost 6 month hiatus from my blog, I am newly inspired and ready to leap back into the wonderful world of blogging. In case you didn't know, one of my favorite hobbies and passions is makeup. I have SO much fun testing out new products, creating new looks, and sharing my discoveries with others so they too can find things that work for them. So, upon trying to come up with an idea for my next post/re-entrance into blogging, I knew I wanted to share my holy grail, tried and true, makeup products with all of you! It took me a while to choose which products to talk about since I love so much of my makeup, but I finally narrowed it down to 8 wonderful items.

HG (holy grail) product videos and blog posts are some of my absolute favorite to watch and read. They always inspire me to try new things, and also often lead me to discovering products that I adore, some of which have even made it onto my personal HG list.

So without further ado, here are my holy grail beauty products!

1. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette
This is hands down my favorite eyeshadow palette that I own. Coming from someone who owns a couple of the Naked palettes, that's a big deal. I've always wanted to get my hands on one of the palettes in the infamous Too Faced chocolate bar line, so when this palette was released, I snatched it up. It is such a beautiful palette! The colors are creamy and extremely pigmented. I love that the majority of colors are neutral with a few fun pops of color. My favorite shades from the palette are Satin Sheets- a gorgeous monochrome champagne shade that comes in a large pan, and Dark Truffle- a deep chocolate brown with a pearl sheen. If you don't own one of the Chocolate Bar palettes already, I highly recommend this one! Plus, it smells like chocolate and has adorable packaging. What's not to love?

2. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in "Moonstone"
This highlight is PERFECTION. The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors are infamous for being one of the top highlighters on the market right now. They are known for their amazingly soft, buttery consistency and the vibrant lit-from-within glow they create. Moonstone is perfect for fair-medium skin tones to add that perfect luminous sheen to the face. If this shade is too light for your skin tone, any other shades within the range are sure to be wonderful too. A little goes a long way, so even though it is a pricey highlighter, it will last a very long time.

3. Milani Baked Blush in "Luminoso"
This drugstore blush is well known for its color payoff, blend-ability, and the natural pretty peach color that it gives to the cheeks. It is also well known in the beauty community that this blush is a close dupe for cult favorite Nars Orgasm. They may not be exact shade dupes, but this blush is gorgeous, affordable, and flattering on most skin tones. It's definitely my favorite blush.

4. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in "Fair Claire" and "Light"
I have tried many drugstore concealers throughout the years. I'm not one to want to spend a lot of money on concealers since I tend to go through them fairly quickly. After discovering these concealers from Maybelline, I have stuck with them for a couple years now. They are amazing! They are creamy, smooth, and blend really well with a good makeup sponge. I use Fair Claire to highlight my face and brighten up my under eye area, and Light to cover up any imperfections I might have.

I'm so glad I decided to splurge on this bronzer and give it a try. It is perfect for contouring or just adding a bit of warmth to the face. Since it's matte, it doesn't accentuate imperfections and isn't sparkly. In the summer i love to contour with this and then go in with a shimmery bronzer for a sun-kissed glow.

As someone who is addicted to buying lipsticks, I have tried so many different brands and formulas, and this is my absolute favorite. The Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks have the most comfortable light-weight formula I have every tried. They are long lasting, non-drying, highly pigmented, and creamy. I love wearing a lipstick that feels like nothing on the lips. You can't go wrong with any shade. The one that is pictured is 104, which is a natural mauvey pink color that is very flattering and feminine.

7. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in "Blackest Black"
I can't believe it took me so long to try this mascara! I have heard many of my favorite beauty gurus talk about how incredible it is, and I'm so glad that I finally decided to give it a try a few months back. This mascara gives SO much volume and length- my lashes have never looked better. I would definitely say that this mascara is comparable to high end mascaras and it comes at a fraction of the price. If you haven't tried it, you need to.

8. L'Oréal Infallible Eyeshadow in "Amber Rush"
I have raved about this eyeshadow to everyone I know. I discovered this little gem through Pinterest and am so glad I did! This particular shade is a beautiful rose gold, INTENSELY pigmented, and has a foiled look to it. It compliments any eye color, especially blue or hazel eyes. I love putting this shadow all over the lid and then darkening up the outer corner of my eye with the shade "Dark Truffle" from the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette.

That's it! I hope y'all enjoyed reading about some of my favorite makeup, and are feeling inspired to go out and discover new products! Do you have any HG makeup products? Let me know what they are in the comments down below. After all, I can always use an excuse to go out and try new makeup.

Stay tuned for more posts soon!

  1. I love this post! I really want to try the Milani baked blush but they don't sell it in the UK! The Too Faced Bon Bon palette looks incredible, I have both the chocolate bar and the semi-sweet and the pigmentation and formula of them both are so so good! x

    1. Thank you so much! I didn't know that Milani wasn't available in the UK, perhaps you could get it online through a website that ships internationally. I would absolutely love to try the other chocolate bar palettes, I'm sure they are just as lovely as the Bon Bon one!
