Hi everyone! I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted. It's just hard to find the time these days, especially when I know I should really be working on upcoming assignments for my summer classes (ew). Luckily, there's only a few more weeks of that and then I'm done! That is, until fall semester starts...ugh. How many days until I graduate again?

Anyways, I hope all of you have been having a fabulous July! Mine has been quite the roller coaster, but overall things are going great, and the summer is seriously flying by. I can't believe it's almost August!

One of my favorite things this time of year is fun, glowy, sun-kissed makeup. And in case some of you didn't know, I absolutely love makeup and beauty products. That's why they're such a big part of this blog! So naturally, whenever I discover a product that I absolutely love, I have to share it with all of you!

Allow me to introduce you all to this gorgeous Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick in "Radiant." I had heard good things about this product from one of my favorite beauty gurus on YouTube, and, after hunting for it for a while, I finally found it at Ulta in the shade I needed.

Guys, this highlighter is only $7, and it is SO GOOD.

This highlighter is super pigmented (use a light hand), creamy, blendable, and has just an all around awesome formula. It does not have chunky glitter in it, but instead has a fine shimmer. I would definitely say that it is comparable to high end highlighters for sure. Some say that it's even a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. Since Makeup Revolution is known for having some good dupes for high end products (like the Naked palettes), it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it were true.

I love how versatile this product is. It makes a gorgeous highlight, and doubles for some pretty striking eye shadow as well. Since there are 5 different strips of color, you can create many different shades by blending together different strips, which I think is really cool since it can suit more skin tones that way.

I will say that I think someone with a olive/tan-dark skin tone can get more use out of this than someone with a light skin tone. However, the two lightest shades in the shimmer brick are stunning and would definitely work on someone with a lighter skin tone.

This has been my go-to highlight every day for the past two weeks, and I'm just so in love with it. It's such a striking highlight and just looks absolutely beautiful on the skin. I've been consistently reaching for this over my high end highlighters, even my beloved Becca one.

(swatches of every individual color strip from top to bottom)

(top shade: all 5 colors together, middle: top two strips together, bottom: top three strips together)

I love the shade I get when I blend the top three strips of color together, so I've been doing that and applying it with a fan brush to the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, etc.

I'm so amazed and impressed by the quality of this highlighter. I have never been so impressed with a drugstore highlight before, and I can't wait to check out more products from this brand.

If you are in the market for an incredible highlight at an affordable price, you need to get your hands on this!

I hope you enjoyed this little post! I'm looking forward to writing more and getting back to posting more consistently. Have any of you tried this highlight before? What is your favorite drugstore highlight? Let me know in the comments down below!
