AUGUST 2016 IPSY BAG

Hi y'all! I'm sorry I got this post up a little later than I wanted to. My first day of classes was today, and needless to say I'm already feeling pretty stressed out by everything that this next semester will entail. I know that I can do it if I keep myself driven and focused though, so I'm trying to stay positive.

Anyways, in other news I received my August Ipsy bag about a week ago, and I am loving it!

For those that don't know, Ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription beauty bag that is filled with 5 full sized or sample sized products. To read up about it a little more check out my post here. It's a fun inexpensive way to try out and discover new makeup.

The reason I haven't posted about Ipsy in a while was because I honestly wasn't too impressed with the last couple bags I received. However, I think they got their stuff together because this bag was a hit! So, without further ado, here are the goodies I got this month! I hope you enjoy!

1. OFRA Cosmetics "You Glow Girl" Highlighter

This was the product that I was most excited about! I'm absolutely obsessed with highlighters, so I was thrilled when I found out I was getting one. This product is a sample size coming in at 27 ml vs. the 10 grams of the full sized one. It's actually the same size as an OFRA eyeshadow, so it really doubles as both eyeshadow and a highlighter. Upon swatching, it is gorgeous! Very pigmented and silky, and has a beautiful sheen. I can't wait to get this onto my cheekbones!

2. Sally's Box Secret Garden Ampoule Masks

You can't ever have too many face masks right? They're perfect for relaxing and fantastic for your skin! These particular ones are sheet masks that use Olive Oil and Camellia Oil to hydrate the skin. What I think it cool and unique about these masks is that the top of the packages include a serum for your to put on your face before you apply the mask for extra moisture. Can't wait to try these out!

3. Ciate London Paint Pot in "Spinning Teacups"

I am a nail polish hoarder. I always like adding new colors in my collection, so I'm always open to receiving nail polish in my beauty box subscriptions. This color is a really pretty lilac purple, and the bottle is adorable! I have never tried polish from this brand before so we'll see how the formula holds up.

4. Beauty For Real I-LINE 24/7 Eyeliner in Black Magic

This was the only product that I wasn't too pumped about getting. I tend to only wear liquid or felt tipped eyeliner, so I don't get much use out of eyeliner in this form. However, I swatched it and it was suuuuper black, creamy, and smudge-able. If I feel like creating a smoky eyeliner look one day, this will be the product I reach for.

5. Luseta Argan Oil Hair Masque

This hair mask uses Argan Oil to add moisture and shine for healthier hair. This claims to be good for damaged and color treated hair so that's perfect for me, since I've colored my hair a lot in the past. I never really use hair masques that often, but I think I'm going to start making them a part of my routine beginning with this one. My hair could use a little extra TLC.

Well, that's everything that I received in my August Ipsy bag! I think I'll get good use out of the products I got this month, which makes the $10 I paid for it feel like a good investment.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Are you subscribed to Ipsy? If so, did you love your bag this month? Let me know in the comments down below!
