AUGUST FAVORITES

Hi y'all! I can't believe that we're only days away from September! August was a great (busy) month, but I am so ready to embrace September and all the fall goodness that's to come. I can almost taste the pumpkin pies...mmm.

Anyways, (since I'm sure you all are getting tired of hearing me mention my love for the time of year that's approaching), in honor of the end of the month, I thought I'd share the things that I have been loving these last four weeks with all of you! I've come across some new things that I am obsessing over, as well as tried and true products that I rediscovered.

So, without further ado, here are 5 things that I have been loving in the month of August!

1. White Marble MacBook Pro Case

This gorgeous laptop case is the thing I was most excited about this month, so I just had to talk about it first. Even though I only got this at the end of August, I've fallen head over heels for it and knew I had to include it in my favorites. I had been meaning to buy a new case for my laptop since I started lugging it to my classes again with the new semester, but I couldn't decide which case within Amazon's vast selection to get. I wanted something simple, but also stylish. This is everything I never knew I wanted! It has a rubberized matte finish to it that is so soft, and the marble detail and color scheme make it very aesthetically pleasing. It's sturdy, fits well, and has openings for all ports as well as a vented bottom. What more could you ask for?

2. "Golden Pear & Brown Sugar" Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist

Okay, I know that's it's only August, but I couldn't resist grabbing this new scent from Bath & Body works fall collection when I smelled it in store. According to Bath & Body Works it contains notes of Italian bergamot, decadent pistachio mousse, sugared almond cookie, caramelized praline, toasted hazelnut, plum blossom, vanilla, chocolate wood, and whipped musk. Now, I'm not claiming that it smells like all of those (incredible sounding) things, but I will say that it is legitimately one of the most incredible things I have EVER smelled.  I have been wearing this non-stop for weeks. It's such a cozy scent!

3. Beauty for Real Shadow Stx in "Midnight Marathon"

This is a creamy, pigmented, long-lasting eyeshadow stick that contains skin-loving ingredients like meadowfoam seed oil and chamomile that help to moisturize and prevent wrinkles. I received it in my BoxyCharm box this month, and am so happy that I did. It's a gorgeous shade and goes on so smoothly, and it's waterproof so it seriously doesn't move. It took me quite a bit of effort to get the swatch I made on my arm for the picture to come off with a makeup remover wipe, so believe me when I say it's long lasting. I like to blend this all over the lid, or I smudge it out on my bottom lash line. Either way it is stunning!

4. Wet n' Wild Color Icon Blush in "Rose Champagne"

I had heard such incredible things about the Wet n' Wild Color Icon blushes in the past, that when I came across this new shade in their line, I had to give it a whirl. I wanted a blush that had less of a pink undertone and more of a peachy/bronze one since I've figured out that those shades look better on my skin tone, and this fit the bill! It's a beautiful, subtle shade that is not too pigmented so you can build it up to your desired look. The formula is super blendable, lightweight, and the micro shimmers within it create a lovely warm glow on the cheeks. Another bonus- some say that it's a dupe for the Dallas blush by Benefit. At less than $4, I recommend you give it a try!

5. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks in "Blissful Berry" and "Deepest Cherry"

There is no shade I love more on my lips than a dark berry tone. I wear those type of shades year-round, and pretty constantly during the fall and winter seasons. I'll probably mention these two new shades from Maybelline again on here because they're definitely going to be my go-to colors for the upcoming season. Blissful Berry is a lighter, more purple/pink toned berry shade, while Deepest Cherry is more of a red based maroon tone. Formula wise, they are great: creamy, pigmented, and not drying at all since they aren't a matte formula. If you're looking for a great berry toned lipstick or new shades to wear for the upcoming fall season, I highly recommend you try to get your hands on these!

Well that's it for my August favorites! I discovered some things that I truly loved this month, and I'm so glad I got to share them with you all.
