STRESSED BUT BLESSED: LIFE UPDATE

Hi y'all!

I feel like it has been a hot minute since I've posted anything about what's been going on in my life lately, so I thought it was about time that I get you all up to speed. I know I mentioned wanting to do more personal posts on my blog a couple months ago, but I just haven't had any big changes or exciting things happen to talk about until now.

This post wasn't planned or overthought or anything like that. I just got home to my class, laid Lilah down for a nap, and spontaneously felt like getting on here and talking (& venting a little) to y'all on a more personal level.

So, it's September and my college classes are in full swing...and I'm already getting pretty overwhelmed by everything that this semester is going to bring. In case you didn't know, I'm an education major, and this semester is the first semester in a while that I'm really getting to go out and actually spend time in a classroom helping to teach, which is awesome! I'm excited about getting a chance to interact with little kids and learn from some (hopefully) fantastic teachers. But, I'm doing field work for three of my classes at three different schools all of which have many assignments to go along with them. That coupled with my other two classes, work, taking care/spending time with my daughter, trying to fit in time to spend with my husband, trying to blog consistently, and attempting to keep my house clean and whatnot has me feeling like a chicken running around with its head cut off.

I'm exhausted and pretty darn stressed out.

Sometimes I feel like I can do it all no problem, and other I just feel like I'm putting too much pressure on myself to do it all.

Anyways, now that I'm done venting, I know that even though I have a lot of responsibilities that can make me feel stressed out time to time, I also have so many blessing to be thankful for. I know that there is so much good in my life right now that even when things inevitably go wrong sometimes, I can stay positive and keep pushing and working hard to reach my goals because I have people who love, support, and believe in me.

Even though this semester is probably going to be one of the busiest and most stressful ones of my academic life thus far, I know I can always rely on my determination and my support system to help push me through.

I'm excited to take on the challenges of this semester, and to experience all the wonderful things that come with it. Lilah will be two in just under two weeks, Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas are fast approaching, I'll be turning 22 in November and getting to meet the sweet baby of Ryan and I's friends around the same time, so there's much to enjoy in the present and look forward to in the future.

Thanks for bearing with me as I try my best to blog as much as I can, and I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into what's going on in my life right now!

Stay tuned for more posts soon!

  1. Hang in there girl! I know ALL about having to do field work in multiple schools and then having to do assignments on top of it. It will be worth it in the end :) I graduated last year with my education degree and just know that it REALLY does help being in multiple classrooms even though it so stressful. I recommend keeping a notebook of good ideas you see in classrooms. I brought one with me everywhere in college.
