Hi everyone!

I know, it's been a lot longer than I'd like to admit since I last posted on here, and I'm sorry.
Life just got in the way.

Between school and my personal life, it was hard to find the time and the motivation to keep posting. I think I put so much pressure on myself to keep up with posting consistently, that it got a bit too much like a chore, which is far from what I want this blog to be to me.

Anyways, I'm back now and excited to start posting on here again. ♥ This time though, I won't be pressuring myself to adhere to any sort of posting schedule. Instead, I'll just post whenever I feel the inspiration to. I think that will help me to reawaken my love both for blogging and this space.

So, let's get to what's been going on in my life these last four months so y'all can see where I''m at. For one, I finished one semester of college with a 4.0 and began another. I moved onto another block in my journey to become an elementary teacher, and even though I see the benefit in my courses, I just wish I could leap ahead and actually start teaching! I'm getting there slowly but surely though.

I also turned 22 in November., which was so fun! (Not as fun as turning 21 though, I'll have to admit). Other than that I enjoyed another wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season with my family. It was a much needed break.

As of now, I'm taking 15 hours worth of classes plus spending one full day in the classroom a week. That along with mommy duties, trying to keep the house from looking like a tornado hit, spending time with my husband, and trying to live a healthier lifestyle and have some semblance of a social life have me pretty darn busy.

Looking ahead, there's a bunch of awesome stuff coming up to help motivate me through this semester of school. For one, Ryan (my husband) graduates in May with a Bachelor of Art's degree, and I am so happy and proud of him. Then, in June, we're taking a trip with my family to Disney World and I am BEYOND THRILLED to get to take Lilah there for the first time. It's going to be absolutely magical, as Disney always is. Other than that, summer is coming up quicker than I realize and it'll be so nice to finally have a bigger break from classes since I took three courses last summer.

In the mean time, I'm working on staying focused, staying positive, and getting things accomplished.

I hope all of you have a great Halloween, Christmas, New Years, and Valentine's Day. Thanks for being patient with me while I was away. I hope you're excited for some new posts here on Being Heather! I know I am.

Stay tuned for more posts soon!
