BABY + A DEGREE: WHAT'S NEW WITH ME

Hi everyone!

I know, it's been WAY too long since I've posted on here. To say that things have been crazy these last 9 months would be an understatement.

Luckily, things have slowed down now, so I thought I'd leap on here and share what's new with me for any of you curious about what I've been up to since I last posted here.

First off...I'm rocking a bit bigger of a belly recently in comparison to August.

(From our maternity shoot with Contista Productions. Check them out on Instagram @joshuaandparisa, highly recommend them if you're near the San Antonio/Austin area, their photography is beautiful!)

For those of you who didn't know, WE'RE EXPECTING!

Ryan and I were hoping to add a new little one to our family, and in November we were blessed to learn that we would have a new little addition come July 2018. The timing went as well as I could have hoped, with the baby being due after I was scheduled to graduate, but long enough before I hope to begin my career as a teacher in August (fingers crossed). We are over the moon, and I feel very blessed to be able to carry another sweet baby. In early February we found out that the life I'm carrying is a BOY (eeek!), and I've been loving buying cute boy things and working on the nursery. I'm now almost 33 weeks pregnant, and cannot wait to meet this little dude! Any thoughts and prayers for healthy delivery for both baby and I come July would be much appreciated.

Next super exciting life update: I GRADUATED Summa Cum Laude almost a week ago with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies!

I felt like the day would never get here, but five years of hard work later here I am. It definitely wasn't easy with a little one, and student teaching while pregnant this past semester wasn't always a walk in the park, but I knew that if I stuck to it and worked hard that I could reach my goal. Ryan and I always encouraged each other's success, and we were blessed to have the support system we did that helped to make it possible for us both to obtain our degrees. It's bittersweet and amazing to close the college chapter of my life, and I look forward to my career as an elementary educator. I DID IT!

In other news, Ryan began his career in January, and has been working hard and doing an awesome job in his new position. I am one proud wife! I can't believe we'll be married FOUR YEARS come July! Crazy how time flies. As far as our sweet little girl, she's been growing like a weed and is as active and hilarious as ever. I've never known the expression "kids say the darndest things," to be as true as when I started raising a toddler. She's also pumped to be getting a little brother, and it has been so sweet and precious to watch her hug and kiss my belly and talk to the baby.

Well, that just about catches y'all up on what's been going on with me! This summer I'll be taking it easy waiting for our little man to make his appearance, and applying for jobs. I'm happy to be blogging again and to getting to share my life with all of you. I have a LOT of ideas (for one, maybe a nursery reveal?!) and I can't wait to get writing again. I've missed it!

Stay tuned for more posts soon from this preggo Mama!
